wiww: The Storms of Life...and what I wear during them...

This week's pictures occurred
after the HUGE storm system that
ripped through East Tennessee
and a storm
(Super Dad's unexpected job loss)
that touched our family...

(You can read more about
both storms by clicking HERE.)

As I look back on these pictures,
I am reminded about each day's events,
and about how God will provide for us...

He is faithful...

Thursday
Farmer's Market Fun
Outfit

I wore this outfit when my husband and I
took the kiddos to the Farmer's Market.
It was a GORGEOUS day
(the day directly after the storms).
While I was taking my picture for wiww,
I caught Jungle Girl in one...
...as she was chatting with Super Dad.

I then turned the camera...
...on the girls.
My kiddos are a wonderful reminder
of all the true blessings God has
given me in my life...

Beautiful Weather + Beautiful Kiddos =
A Beautiful Evening

Friday
Let's Go Suit Shopping
Outfit

Little Wild Man and I went suit shopping with
Super Dad while the girls were at dance practice.
We found him a nice black suit,
which will be great for his future job interviews...

Saturday
Several Cupcakes and a Memorial
Outfit

BUSY Saturday...

Started the day off by hosting Jungle Girls'
birthday tea party
for 7 little girls (and their American Girl Dolls)...

Then I helped lead a wonderful worship service
in honor of a sweet woman,
Miss Maxine,
who recently went home to be with her
Heavenly Father.

Hearing about her life-
how she clung to God through many rough times-
and how she wanted EVERYONE
she came in contact with to know the love of Christ-
well, it just makes ME want to do better...

Sunday
Sing Unto the Lord a New Song
Outfit

Went to church today,
taught my Sunday School kiddos,
witnesses one of my former student's baptism,
and helped lead worship...

Beautiful, beautiful day...

I do believe that Sunday I was finally overcome by
the situation my family in is right now.

I did shed few more tears thinking about how my husband
had worked so hard for his former company
only to be let go in not the best way...

Thinking about the possibility of having to go back to work,
and no longer homeschooling the kiddos...

Thinking about the EXTREME situation of
losing our home...

BUT THEN I STOPPED.

********************************************

I reflected on the fact that our family is healthy.

Our family is together.

We have many people praying for us
and offering us kind words,
as well as offering to cover our physical needs
if it comes to that.

We will not be homeless,
even if we lose out house.

We will, and are, being provided for...

I remembered Miss Maxine's life,
and how she endured much worse than
what we going though right now,
and she never lost site of her Savior...

Through it all,
GOD IS FAITHFUL...

I am linking these thoughts up with
"what i wore wednesday"...

  1. God has his hand in this...He has a good and perfect plan for all of you! Keep the faith and keep trusting. I'll be keeping you in my prayers! This passage is one I used for an article recently and thought it might be appropriate one for your family right now

    ~ Ann Tolbert

“To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven: A time to be born, And a time to die; A time to plant, And a time to pluck what is planted; A time to kill, And a time to heal; A time to break down, And a time to build up; A time to weep, And a time to laugh; A time to mourn, And a time to dance; A time to cast away stones, And a time to gather stones; A time to embrace, And a time to refrain from embracing; A time to gain, And a time to lose; A time to keep, And a time to throw away; A time to tear, And a time to sew; A time to keep silence, And a time to speak; A time to love, And a time to hate; A time of war, And a time of peace...He has made everything beautiful in its time.
Also He has put eternity in their hearts,
except that no one can find out the work that
God does from beginning to end.”
    ~Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 & 11~
