Weekly Wrap-Up: Sussical the Musical, the "Homeschool" Edition

This week was full,
So, so, full, of course,
Jungle Girl learned more
about Felicity's horse!
During Monday Fun
My eldest daughter
Learned more about American Girl "Felicity"
And her ink blotter!

On Monday evening
We played with dough for hours...

Tuesday came and went-Nothing to show here but some Seuss-like flowers.

On Wednesday evening,
We celebrated Seuss' birthday!
We ate "Grown-Up" Green Eggs and Ham,
Which was to some children's dismay!

(see more by clicking HERE)

Thursday began
With a Horton Break-"feast"
Bellies were then full,
Of eggs and toast made with yeast.

Throughout our lessons
Seuss was heard that day...
Right before Calendar Time
"Octember" made us hooray!

While learning about the ocean,
"Ms. Frizzle" led the way...
...Which inspired "Ocean in a Bag",
A lesson full of play!

Other fishy fun
Was found during lesson time...

...Like ABC fishing
Using magnets and twine.

Friday arrived,
To the library we went.
We checked out lots of books,
Without spending a cent.
These books the kiddos' chose...
These books are for the letter "Q"...
Throw in some books for St. Patty's Day...
And don't forget "Horton Hears a Who!"

Now that you've read
All about our week,
Head over to the "Wrap-Up"
To get a sneaky peek

Into the lives
Of other Homeschools.
We promise- it's fun,
And often quite cool!

  1. Thanks for visiting my blog and leaving a comment.
I love your post! We really enjoy Dr. Seuss at our house also. Your Horton breakfast is very creative.
Wonder Woman was my hero when I was little.

  2. Your Suess inspired dishes are cool. I was surpirsed to see that your boys gave the green eggs the thumbs down, leave it to the girls to appreciate such things in life.

What a great idea to use the blue hair gel as water for your ocean bags. I think the ocean bags would be a hit in our house.
