Expecting Easter: Coming Clean at Calvary

 For this day's
"Expecting Easter"
activity,
we put together a
"Hill of Calvary"
using THIS tutorial found at

(She has some really great ideas on
celebrating Easting with your kiddos-
you should really check 'em out
by clicking HERE...)

***********************************

The kiddos had a "lovely" time...
 ...playing in the dirt...

Now we just have to wait for the Sun to do its job...

***********************************************

Speaking of "dirt" and the "Sun"...

 Sin reminds me of
playing in the dirt...
Yes,
Sinning can sure seem like
fun at the time,
just like playing in the dirt
was for the kiddos.

I mean,
why else would be doing it?

The problem is that eventually...
...you get dirty...
...very, very...

...dirty.

That's where the SON comes in.

2 Corinthians 5:21 says,

"God made him who had no sin for us,
so that in him we might become
the righteousness of God."

Jesus,
who was perfect,
took on our
"dirt"
so we could be clean again.

I look forward to
daily celebrating
the perfect Savior
whose ultimate sacrifice
washed away all my dirty sin...

  2. Anything that gets you very dirty is a big hit with my kids.
