Last week,
during our letter C study,
Clifford the Big Red Dog was the theme for Thursday's
preschool lessons.
So, for fun with math during snack time,
the kiddos participated in a little bit of estimation...
I wanted to do this activity with
Scooby Doo Graham Cracker Sticks,
but, alas,
my local grocery store did not have them,
so I chose some...
(They look kinds doggie-treatish, don't ya think?)
I dumped an entire box into a bowl
and had the kiddos estimate how many doggie treats
there were...
estimation practice!)
After all that counting...
That's a lot of fun! You could have used Clifford fruit snacks for patterns, and sorting, too. Which puts me on to an idea for when Toy Story 3 comes out on DVD :)
ReplyDeleteLove how you did estimation with crackers! I need to find some gluten free ones to do them with! Thanks for linking!
