Starting this week
and into the next,
my younger kiddos will be participating
in a several activities inspired by...
...Jan Brett's
The Mitten.

My 2nd grader has begun...
...working on a lapbook

Back of the Lapbook
I attached a folder to the lapbook's back
to store extra activities related to
The Mitten study...
The first activity...
...an "Even and Odd Number Sort,"
can be found at
The pieces can be easily stored
in the front pocket...

Back pocket activities include...
...more information to read...
...printables from Jan Brett's site...
...words to practice alphabetizing...
...and all the other pieces need to complete the activities
inside of the lapbook.

The two preschoolers
will be working through...
...THIS lapbook
created by Homeschool Share.

The kiddos will use...
...animal track stamps to decorate
the cover.
Here's a closer look at the inside of the lapbook...

(They will use felt to decorate this mitten...)

On the back of the lapbook...
...the kiddos will use these animal pictures...
...to create a Winter scene,
and see how animals use
"camo" to protect themselves in the wild.

(These animal pictures are a part of the
Homeschool Share Mitten printable pack.)

Next week,
I will post
the other activities the kiddos' completed
to go along with our
Mitten learning fun...
