Bible Alive! Tuesday: Moses' Tent

When Moses was with the Israelites in the desert,
he would meet with God in a special tent
just outside of the camp.

This was called the Meeting Tent.

When we learned about this Bible story
from Exodus 33:7-11...
...we made out own simple
Meeting Tent
with chairs and blankets.

The kiddos enjoyed the tent so much,
they each took turns throughout the morning
doing their school work in it.

In the Exodus passage,
a young Joshua would not leave the tent
even after God and Moses were done with their conversations.

Just like my kiddos enjoyed being in their tent so much,
my hope for my family is that we will all desire
to be near God like Joshua desired...

(Oh, and whenever you go into the
Meeting Tent,
make sure to wear your mittens-
even if it is a comfortable 68 degrees in your home...)

I would love to know what Bible fun y'all have been up to this week!

  1. That's such a great idea. Kids love tents and this will definitely help them remember that Bible story.
