Last year,
for our
"Not-Back-to-School" First Day photos...
...I chose their color coordinating outfits
and wrote out all their grade levels on a chalkboard-
ya know,
OBVIOUSLY
"Mommy-styled-via-Pinterest-idea" pics.

This year,
I decided to let the kiddos pick the
"theme" outfits for their pics,
and they decided upon-
what else-
Minecraft.
(They all got a Minecraft shirt
during the back-to-school sales at Target-
a real treat for them,
since many of their clothes are bought
at consignment sale, yard sales,
and are hand-me-downs.)
I then printed off some
green graph paper
(found HERE)
and drew up their grade level numbers
on the sheets,
hoping to give the numbers
a pixel effect
(similar to the graphics seen in Minecraft).
Here is how the photo shoot went...
