A couple of weeks ago,
our Sunday School lesson focused on
the story of when
Jesus talked to the Samaritan Woman.
(John 4:1-42)
With K-1st graders,
we focused on the idea of how Jesus offered
the Samaritan Woman
living water.
First, as I told the story to the kiddos,
we all went to...
..."the well"...
...to draw water like the Samaritan Womandid in the story.
Our water was different than normal water though...
The water Jesus offered to the Samaritan Womanwas different too.
He was offering her eternal satisfaction in Christ-
eternal life in heaven.
She took him up on his offer-
and we celebrated her belief
by drinking our special water.

To remember the lesson...
...I had the kiddos make colorful pictures...
...focusing on including plants and flowers...
...which all need water...
...and the sun...
...to stay alive.Just like WE need the Son and his water
to live eternally with the father...
