We're Nuts for The Nutcracker

This morning, the girls and I went to see the Appalachian Ballet Company's production of "The Nutcracker."

After getting all dolled up, we enjoyed an imaginative journey to the Land of Sweets.

The girls all brought the Nutcrackers I got for them at the Dollar Tree. Since they were not constructed out of the best materials, the poor little guys encountered a few injuries throughout the morning.

These "injuries" only added to the girls' fun! They used tissues and rubber bands to construct slings, just like the "real" nutcracker had in the ballet. (Makes a Mamma proud!)
