Highlights from this week include:
*Wrapping up our
"Despicable Me 2" week of learning fun
I have a couple of more activities to post,
but for now you can read about our week
by clicking HERE...
*Super Dad and I wasted spent a couple of hours
Thursday evening eating seafood
and watching the
WORLD PREMIER
of SyFy's
Yes-
we fell for the hype.
Yes-
I laughed my head off at the absurdity of the plot.
Yes-
my jaw dropped open at the
ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS ending.
and
Yes-
we will watch Sharknado 2
whenever it hit the network.
*Welcomed home Jungle Girl after
she had been gone
for a week to church camp
*Cerebrated Baby Girl's
"official" 9th birthday
on the 14th
The day began with candle covered fruit (her fav food),
opening gifts and cards,
taking Mustache adorned cupcakes to her Sunday School class,
eating at our favorite Japanese buffet for lunch
(where our fav waitress gave Baby Girl her meal for free),
and just hunging out at home
the rest of the day as a family.
It was low-key and chill,
just like our Baby Girl...
*Entered our second week of homeschooling for the year
We are currently focused on the basics
and Summer Fun Science and Social Studies activities
until August.
Then we will begin a
"mini-coop"
with a homeschooling family in the neighborhood,
which leads me to the next highlight of the week...
*Planning, planning, and more planning
for the 2013-2014
Homeschool Year
I am very excited about what we have decided to do
with the other family in the 'hood,
and I can't wait to share more,
once I get it all planned out.
It is my hope and prayer that working with this family
will make me more dedicated to
getting through our curriculum this year...
*Our neighbor and her daughter, Eep,
took my kiddos on a spontaneous field trip to
They had a BLAST,
and this trip has kick started their interest
onto the first unit we are going to complete this year in Science-
Rocks!
I love it when life works out that way...
