Highlights from this past week include:
*Created an entire learning unit
around the recent purchase of a
Lego castle set
My daughters pooled their birthday money together
and recently bought
Lego castle set.
It took Jungle Girl a couple of hours on Friday morning
to put it together.
As she was working on it,
our little Puppy Prince kept asking,
"Are you finished yet? Can we play with it yet?"
His fascination with this set,
coupled with the buzz about the royal birth,
gave me a
"light-bulb" moment.
It was time to plan a
"Knights and Princesses" Preschool unit.
(I will post all about it soon...)
*Watched the news about the birth
of the new Prince George
*Continued to plan for our homeschool year
*Helped the kiddos at church
sing their hearts out at the
Our children's minister works part time
for Group Publishing,
and through them heard about a new
worship video they were putting together
for next year's VBS curriculum.
(We used their Kingdom Rock VBS this year
at our church.)
In the video,
Group wants to feature different groups of kiddos
from around the country
singing the song.
So,
our kiddos gave it a go!
They did a GREAT job-
I really thought they captured the spirit
of the worship song.
Afterwards,
we went to
and enjoyed each other's company
along with some sweet treats.
It was a wonderful way to end the evening...
