American Girl Birthday Tea Party

This past Saturday,
Jungle Girl had her...
...American Girl Birthday Tea Party.

I made this a simple birthday,
since the end of April until mid-May is sheer scheduling
MADNESS
in this household,
so here is the party 411...

*************************************************

I found the invitations...
...at the Target Dollar Spot.

The bigger cards were for the girls,
and the smaller ones for the girls' dolls.Simple and sweet...

*************************************************

The goody bags consisted of fun items
for the girls and their dolls...

Girl Bags:Paper Journal
Pencil
Eraser
Hershey Bar
and......a Fabric rosette bracelet/choker

Doll Bags:
Same items as the Girls' Bags,
except their Fabric Rosettes...
...were made for headbands.

************************************************

Once the table...
...was set...
...and the food prepped,
we were ready to party!

The menu included:
Finger sandwiches
(PB & J, Plain Peanut Butter, and Ham)
Cheese and Crackers
Cucumbers, Strawberries, and Grapes

I also had Sweet Tea made, but all the kiddos
drank Lemonade instead... :0)

**************************************************

After the girls arrived and played with their dolls a bit...
...we all dined like little ladies,
holding our pinkies out as we drank
from our "tea."

(Sure, there was the fit of giggles when
one of the girls ripped
one of the loudest burps I've ever heard,
but what else can be expected from
a group of 6 to 9 year olds?)

************************************************

After eating,
the girls retired to the front porch for
pictures with their dolls...

***************************************

After cake...
...and presents...
...the girls made jewelery...
...for themselves...

...and their dolls.

**************************************

I hope...
...every girl
(and doll)
left with a smile on their face!

  2. Oh, what a lovely party! It made me wish I had another little girl about that age...or maybe even that I was that age and had you for a Mom! :)

  3. What a wonderful party. Princess has no interest in American Girl Dolls, much to my dismay.

  4. This is so cute. I love how you have separate little invitations and party favors for the dolls. And the pictures of each child with their doll, just adorable! Thank you for the wonderful ideas. My daughter wants an American Girl Party for her birthday next month so I am gathering ideas. Found your post on Pinterest and have repinned. Thank you!
